Mantler - the Wine-Growing Family

For centuries our family has been cultivating a wine-growing business on the loess and sandy soils of the Austrian Weinviertel - Region Wagram.

We grow only the varieties which flourish in each particular location and which ripen into top-grade grapes. These are the basis for the rich extracts in our wines,
for their top quality and national and international awards.

The bond with the wine tradition is supplemented with up-to-date wine-growing husbandry. In order to obtain only the best juice from the grapes, they are treated gently using a special pneumatic press. After maturing in casks, the wine is bottled and then stored in the wine-vault.

Protection and preservation of the environment play a decisive role in our organically cultivated vinery. To further the presence of beneficial creatures and to prevent soil-erosion our vineyards are grassed . We consciously refrain fom using insecticides and herbicides.

As a founder-member of the organisation "First union of organic viniculture in Austria", we foster cooperation and exchange experiences with other top wine-growers and we understand quality to be a dynamic process , which
requires continual critical questioning and further development.
